InterNAP bypasses the public and private network access points by connecting directly to the nine major backbone providers, so that each InterNAP client appears to be on-net to all nine networks simultaneously. InterNAP routes all traffic optimally, speeding up the response time between customers and their end users. The result is that our clients experience faster route times and reduced packet loss, thus improving Internet performance. Our Marlboro data center, located just west of Boston at the junction of the RT495 and Mass Pike fiber rings, allows us to provide our customers the benefits of a Boston based network presence while providing unsurpassed value and security. Redundancy and fire protection are provided by one of the largest single site APC three-phase UPS installs in the US, a multi-megawatt backup diesel generator, multiple 20-ton HVAC systems, and a FM-200 inert gas fire suppression system.
